Synopsis:
The Old Sea is based on the recollections of an old woman. The sea is used as a metaphor for human emotions. Lead dancer Choo Leh Leh played the woman from childhood to adulthood. In old age, the woman is represented by a life-size puppet, which Choo manipulated as she danced. The original New Age-like music for this production was composed by Izumi Nagano (Japan) and Bimo Wiwohatmo.
